As one happy patron noted, “You can get both good coffee and bingsu in 1 place,” highlighting the cafe's versatility and appeal.

Brown Cafe also features a selection of scrumptious desserts. The Bingsu is a crowd favorite, with its light and fluffy texture that’s perfect for the Malaysian humidity. One customer remarked that the snowflake texture is “great and very soft,” making it a delightful way to cool down on a warm day.

However, it’s worth noting that while the experience is generally positive, some guests have mentioned areas for improvement, particularly regarding cleanliness and the shared restroom facility. But don't let that deter you—this is a perfect spot to indulge in sweet treats or satisfying drinks, especially given the rave reviews about their coffee and bingsu.

If you're looking for a place to unwind and enjoy quality drinks and light bites, Brown Cafe Malaysia is highly recommended. Whether you're stopping by for a refreshing tea or a slice of their famous Pistachio Tiramisu Cake, this lovely cafe promises to be a highlight in your Kota Kinabalu adventures.

Not a bad place to chill out. I had a Horlicks Latte and a Pistachio Tiramisu Cake Slice. Both were good, and the service here was very good.

We ordered a Brown Almond Milk Bingsu and Earl Grey Biscoff to share. Taste good and the cutleries were pretty. Small area, the tables were tiny, but good enough for a quick dessert. Toilet is shared with the hotel and Gam Tong restaurant next door. Cleanliness can be improved and the light above the sink still flickers since the last time we visited several months ago. Recommended for the bingsu, even the taro balls and paste were tasty too.

Bingsu was good. Good service and ambiance. Went at abt 12.30pm. I was the only customer then a few more people came there after.

Good place to kill your afternoon time. Using good coffee machine but the beans are average. Latte art is average as well. Snow flake is great and is very soft. Flakes produced from liquid that crystalized under the roller machine and break into flakes. Quite unique

Tried the chai tea bingsu at Brown Café Gaya Street and it was delicious! The texture was so fine and fluffy, it melted instantly in the mouth. The chai flavor was unique really comforting, yet refreshing at the same time. It came beautifully presented with a generous amount of toppings like crushed nuts, and extra sides like chewy pearls and jelly. Everything paired so well together! The café itself had a cozy and stylish vibe, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. Definitely a must-try dessert spot if you’re around Gaya Street and looking for something sweet and cooling!

2nd time coming here. The bingsu is soft and the toppings are decent. The Earl Grey Biscoff tasted great, would recommend it. So was the pearl in their milk tea! However the 1st time I went there-sometime in the first week of March-it was fairly empty and some random guy came in and started haggling and begging for money persistently from us. Took the staff over 3 minutes to intervene and escort him outside? Like how uncomfortable do we have to look until you will take actions lol. But thankfully the 2nd time I went there, the place was full and it didn't happen again.
